Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl

Change floor surface when height is limited

Choose oak grain or herringbone flooring. Check the total thickness, impact reduction ability and water tightness of the joint.

Needs at construction site

Check thickness, impact sound and slice pattern

When renovating a room or apartment, a few millimeters can affect the door base and braces. Choosing a floor must also consider the sound of collisions transmitted to the lower floor and how to clean it after handover.

Adding a new floor can easily catch the door

Want to know the thickness of both boards and lining before detailing.

5 + 1 mm construction by Bloom and Ciro

5mm board comes with built-in 1mm liner. Declared TDS ΔLw = 21 dB according to DIN EN ISO 717-2. This is the level of impact sound reduction in the test, which needs to be compared with the actual floor structure.

Herringbone slices easily confuse left and right planks

Need to make a paving diagram and calculate the board loss.

Unizip on Ciro

A two-way joinable board with herringbone pattern. The construction team can set up the paving shaft and estimate according to one type of plank instead of separating the left and right planks.

Cleaning fluid and stains concentrate at the joints

Want to treat stains daily and check joint sealing ability.

Hydroseal and Scratch & Stain Guard

Hydroseal combines Uniclic wort on Bloom or Unizip on Ciro. TDS records leak-free connection in ISO 4760 test, Appendix D. PU coating provides scratch and stain resistance.

According to TDS Quick-Step Rigid Vinyl Bloom, Ciro and Illume version 06/2026. Check the flatness, ground moisture and elevation at the door before choosing a renovation plan. Locations where water is frequently encountered require separate confirmation of installation and warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Before finalizing the floor code

Can I tile directly on old brick floors?

Need to survey flatness, brick condition and moisture. Check tile joints, transition levels and expansion joints according to installation instructions before deciding to keep the foundation.

Is 21 dB the level to reduce all noise in the room?

ΔLw is the index for reducing impact sound through the floor during the test. If the project has acoustic criteria, compare both the foundation structure and the requirements for acceptance measurement at the construction site.

Can I use Ciro and Bloom together?

Ciro herringbone can be combined with Bloom straight boards according to the zoning plan. Browse two samples side by side and finalize transition details, tile direction and actual color before construction.
