A tradition of beauty and sustainability
Our history goes back to 1960. In the west of Flanders, a few families joined forces to open a business in the plastics industry and named their project Unilin. However, leaf became a material shortage in the 70s, causing Unilin to shift its focus to wood. At first it was used mainly for decorative applications, but enabled by a Dutch customer who turned our panels into flooring, we entered the flooring industry ourselves in 1990.The idea was simple: we wanted a cheaper, easier-to-maintain alternative to traditional wooden floors, and that looked just as lovely. We achieved this using laminate wood panels. The Quick-Step brand soon conquered the hearts of both old and young people. With unique design, we have improved people's bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, etc. v... At the same time, they are also loyal to their ideas. is committed to sustainability to reuse recycled materials and create long-lasting products.
Add vinyl, hardwood and accessories to the mix
With the ambition to provide high-quality floors to suit everyone's preferences, Quick-Step's research team began to explore different types of flooring materials after the turn of the new century. This search culminated when Quick-Tep introduced its first innovative wooden beds in 2009. To better protect the top layer of hardwood, Quick-City developed Wood for Life technology. The result: reduced tearing and damage during maintenance.By then, Quick-Step had opened a third product line along with laminate and vinyl wood: vinyl flooring. These 100% synthetic floors are easy to care for and combine luxury with optimal performance - especially our newest floors. Alpha Vinyl Generation (2020). To finish the floor, Quick-Step also has anti-scratch skirting wool and a versatile finishing brace.

With innovative installation systems like Uniclic, which allow any Tom, Dick or Harry to do their own flooring, we've been revolutionizing the industry since 1997.
