How to install vinyl flooring under door frames
If the board goes through a door frame or jamb, trim the base of the frame to fit the board underneath.
- Place a decorative face board with lining close to the frame to get the level. With vinyl with an integrated liner or adhesive-backed vinyl, do not use a separate liner. If using glue, include the thickness of the glue layer. Place the multi-purpose cutter horizontally on the board and cut the frame legs, or use a hand saw.
- Sweep and vacuum all sawdust. Slide the board under the frame and then lock it with the next board.
- Use an end strip in the doorway to cover the edge of the board.
