What preparation is needed before laying engineered wood flooring?

Before installing engineered wood flooring, check the condition of the floor and then sweep or vacuum the dust.

Once the floor is dry, clean and flat, check the conditions in the room and prepare enough tools.

  1. Keep the board intact in its packaging and place it in the room where it will be tiled to allow the board to adapt. Wait at least 48 hours in summer or 4–5 days in winter. Paving should be done when the room temperature is 18–20 °C and the relative humidity is 40–60%.
  2. Meanwhile, check the toolbox to make sure everything you need during installation is right at your fingertips. Do not worry. Installing wood floors does not require any "special" equipment. You can find everything you need at your local DIY store.
  3. Sweep or vacuum all dirt on the floor.
  4. If you haven't done so already, Check the floor and make sure it is levelIt should not contain any irregularities greater than 4 mm every 2 meters and 1 mm every 20 cm.
  5. It is important that the subfloor is dry before installation. Humidity needs to be less than CM < 2.5% ( 75% RH) for cement and CM floors< 0.5 %, (75% rH) with anhydrite coated floor. If the humidity is higher or can be higher, other types of anti-humidity must be used. If using a floor heater, cement-lined floors need CM less than 1.5 (65%) and anhydrrite-lined floors need CM < 0.3% ( 65% rtH ). Must ensure that the moisture of the wooden floor is less than 10%.

For other underground floors, check Matrix.
