How to install engineered wood flooring underneath a door frame

Prepare a multi-purpose cutter or hand saw, along with a vacuum cleaner.

Are there any doors or thresholds in the room where you will install wood flooring? Don't panic. Just follow these steps.

  1. Before laying, cut under the brace at the threshold or door frame through which the floor will pass. Place a decorative face board and lining close to the door frame for height. For glued floors, include the thickness of the glue layer.
  2. Place the multi-function cutter horizontally, leaning against the board to cut the bottom of the door frame. Remove the piece of wood you just cut and vacuum up the debris.
  3. Decide where you want the floor to end and installs your base Incizo brace.
  4. Use a small piece of board to determine the width of the last row. Place the board in place and mark where it meets the entrance. Mark the distance you want the plank to continue into the door entrance.
  5. Saw away the marked piece You can click on the previous plank to continue.
  6. Prepare the second plank in the same way as explained above. It's easier to do this with two planks, but you can also do this with just one plank if it suits you better.
  7. Finish by installing the final profile above the profile base in the door.
