How to lay laminate flooring when the wall runs diagonally

Installing laminate in a room with slanted walls may seem like an impossible task. Not so! In just a few simple steps, we'll show you how. In no time, you will have seamless laminate wood floors. To get started, you will need: a rolling pin, pencil, hammer, ruler and a jigsaw.

  1. Test match about three rows of planks and place them at the farthest position that can be paved with solid planks. Measure this position in advance or watch the videoHow to start laying laminate flooringfor how to measure.

  2. Use a protractor to get the corner of the wall, lock the screw on the protractor and then mark that angle on the board. You can copy the corner onto a spare piece of board to use as a base.

  3. Looking out the corner with your jigsaw.
Offers: Use different lengths for panels with angled sides. You will get a smooth floor and a more beautiful effect.

  4. Once you have completed about three rows, you can start working on the last board against the angled wall. You will have to cut it narrower and saw out the inclined wall. Template: place a new plank on the remaining plank of the floor. Using an extra piece of laminate, copy the saw cut onto the old board.

  5. Now you will cut the angle on the board. We recommend drawing the depth first, then the angle. That's how you will achieve the perfect saw cut.

  6. Fit the sawn board into place. Use a hammer and pry bar to make the joint tight.
