How to install vinyl flooring around the toilet

For toilets, round columns or round obstacles, take a mark according to the actual curve and then cut the lining and boards according to the mark.

Cut the front lining

Take the dimensions of a round object and then cut each half of the shape on a backing strip. Bring the two strips around the object, fit the edges tightly and tape in place. Avoid letting the two lining edges overlap.

Cutting and joining vinyl planks

Now it's time to go public.

  • We'll start by drawing a pattern. On a large piece of paper, draw the outline of a circular object. Make sure the paper fits roughly around the post or other object and use tape to keep it in place.
  • You should also indicate the distance from the round object to the last row of planks placed on the paper.
  • Cut a line on the paper at the point where you have finished installing the floor.

Pro Tip: Use a board and draw a small line around the circle of the object, one segment at a time on the paper. Move over the entire object to ensure the perfect curve is drawn. Then we will use these lines to draw a circle on the board.

  • You should weave several boards tightly, making sure the board surface is large enough for the entire object to fit, and add a few more boards for stability.
  • takes the one a piece of paper Take the board you used to measure the circle and place it over the lines on the paper again, drawing a line with a pencil on the other side.
  • Repeat this procedure for all lines drawn on the paper. This way you will be able to draw cylinders, toilets or other round objects onto the vinyl surface. Have you finished drawing the entire circle? Then you can put the paper down.
  • Carefully cut the shape along the drawn line. Be careful with your fingers! Check that the boards fit the round object.

Voila! You have now spread the floor around your round object. You can easily remove pencil marks with a damp cloth.

For Alpha Vinyl, you can use a jigsaw.

Don't forget to respect the minimum advice Expansion frame Durability 8mm (5/16).
